As an engineer this quote strikes a sympathetic cord within me. We live in an age of big science connected by the internet and now enhanced by the promises of artificial intelligence “AI”. Yet, most questions facing global society in the 21st Century are moral not scientific and require spiritual guidance. AI, for all its hype will not provide what Martin Luther King Jr., correctly foresaw was required of us in these times.
The Honorable Branko Terzic is a former Commissioner on the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and State of Wisconsin Public Service Commission, in addition he served as Chairman of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe ( UNECE) Ad Hoc Group of Experts on Cleaner Electricity. He holds a BS Engineering and honorary Doctor of Sciences in Engineering (h.c.) both from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee.
